Till early last year most Real Estate Developers in the residential market took pride in their projects in the luxury apartment category. These apartment schemes boasted of Apartment sizes ranging from 2500 - 5000 sq ft, and were provided with facilities such as central airconditioning, imported floors, latest appliances and lifestyle features such as jaccuzis and steam rooms.
Is it correct to assume that the economic melt down has put a question mark on luxury schemes for the timebeing? Or is it possible that the sector is redefining itself and adapting to the new order by cutting down the apartment sizes while still retaining the 'feature rich' tag.
Do projects like DLF Aralias and Omaxe Forrest face any competition or do they still maintain their niche.
