I was shopping around for some property around Delhi area and let me tell you that the market is down from its peak in 2006. A drop of 10% has already happened. Flats are being asked for 50 to 75 lacs in Delhi area. But you can get plots for 40 lacks something in gurgaon area. It depends on the location and the builders.

Plot rates are the following -

Gurgaon 20000 to 40000 per sq yard.
On patudi road 7000 to 10000 per sq yard.
In manesar 15000 to 20000 per sq yard.
In Dharuhera 7500 per sq yard.

In Delhi 20000 per sq ft in greater Kailash.
In greater noida 15000 to 20000 per sq meter.

In Lucknow Gomti nagar 800 to 1500 per sq ft.

One has to take these numbers with a grain of salt. Every sale depends on seller's desperation to sell and buyers desperation to buy. So the price will change accordingly.
